1️⃣ Context & Objective
The Surveys feature introduces a new dimension to SPARTED: the ability to capture, in real time, players’ perceptions, opinions, and feedback—directly within their experience.
Unlike training campaigns, surveys are not designed for knowledge acquisition, but for collecting actionable qualitative and quantitative data.
🎯 Objectives:
- Give players a simple and quick way to share their voice
- Enable organizations to measure perceptions, engagement, and understanding
- Enrich available data to better inform actions (training, communication, management)
- Integrate feedback seamlessly into a gamified experience
2️⃣ How it works
🔹 General principle
A survey consists of a single open-ended question, answered freely by the player via a text input field.
- Players can submit multiple responses over time
- No notion of right or wrong answers
- No time constraints
The goal is to encourage spontaneous, quick, and natural responses.
🔹 Survey creation (Back Office)
Surveys are created from the Back Office, in the Activity tab, using the same form as Breaking News.
On the Back Office side, it is possible to create and run multiple surveys simultaneously, each with its own configuration (audience, availability, etc.).
Configurable fields:
- Title
→ Displayed as the card title in the app - Subtitle
→ Displayed as the card content (context or question)
👉 In practice:
- The title captures attention
- The subtitle contains the actual question
🔹 Targeting & distribution
The distribution system is identical to Breaking News.
A survey can be sent via:
- An audience group
- A Magic Code
- An email list
- The audience of a specific campaign
👉 This allows precise targeting of:
- A specific job population
- A field team
- A specific moment in the user journey
🔹 Availability
Surveys can be configured with:
- A start and end date
- Controlled visibility over time
🔹 Notifications
A notification can be configured for each survey, with conditional logic based on player participation.
👉 The system allows you to:
- Notify only players who have not yet responded
- Adjust reminders based on participation status
🎯 Objective:
Maximize response rates without over-notifying already engaged players.
3️⃣ Player experience
Surveys are integrated directly into the home page as a dedicated card.
🔹 Initial display
- The survey appears at the very top of the Home screen
- It is visually prioritized until the player submits a response
👉 Goal: make participation immediate and highly visible
🔹 After responding
Once the player has responded:
- The card loses visual priority
- It moves down several positions in the Home feed
👉 The survey remains accessible, but no longer prominent
🔹 Multiple responses
Players can respond multiple times to the same survey.
- Each new response is recorded
- The full response history is available in the Back Office
🔹 Status indication
Each time the survey is displayed, the player sees:
- The date of their last response, if they have already participated
- Or an indication that they have not responded yet
👉 This helps to:
- Provide context
- Encourage updated responses when relevant
4️⃣ Reporting & data usage
🔹 Access to results
Each survey includes a dedicated “Report” tab in the Back Office.
This tab allows you to:
- View collected responses
- Download results in real time
👉 Data is available immediately after submission.
🔹 Surveys Dashboard
A dedicated section in the Back Office Statistics tab lets you manage all your surveys in one place.
It displays four key metrics:
- Active players — number of players who responded to the survey
- Open rate — share of targeted players who opened the survey
- Response rate — share of players who submitted a response
- Number of responses — total volume of responses collected
Data can be filtered by period, survey and audience, for precise analysis based on context.
